Progress Book

All pupils will be provided with a complimentary progress book which be filled in by your instructor at the end of each lesson. This will enable you to see, at a glance, how well you are progressing, what topics you have covered and which topics require further work.

On your first lesson, your instructor will discuss with you the test syllabus and provide you with your own Progrsss Book so that you can see what you have done and what is yet to be covered. Lessons will be structured to provide logical progress through the syllabus.

If you have never driven before, you will be taken to a suitably quiet area where you will be taught how to use the controls of the car and how to move off and stop safely, before you go on to encounter other traffic.

Drivers who are particularly nervous need not worry that they will be put into a situation they cannot cope with.

If you have already had some driving experience, your instructor will assess your driving and decide with you the level at which your tuition should start. Thereafter you will continue through the syllabus at a speed which suits your progress.

If you have taken your Test recently but did not pass, your instructor will again assess your driving and work with you to correct the faults in your driving.

Each lesson will begin with your instructor discussing with you what will be covered in the lesson. It is recommended that 2 hour lessons are taken whenever possible, as experience has shown that far more ground can be covered and progress through the syllabus can be made much more quickly.

Finally, your instructor's aim is not only to teach you the skills you need to pass your test but also to drive safely, competently and courteously now and in the future.
